The Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs said the question of the origin of the epidemic should be left to experts “and not to politicians who lie”.
The Chinese government said on Wednesday that US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo “cannot provide evidence” that the new coronavirus has left a Chinese laboratory “because it does not have it”.
“Pompeo has spoken several times, but he cannot present any evidence,” Hua Chunying, a spokesman for the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said at a press conference.
