Senator and ex-president Fernando Collor de Mello (PROS-AL) said on Tuesday (28) that President Jair Bolsonaro (without a party) is going to undergo an impeachment process. In an interview with Uol, Collor stated that the opening of the investigation against Bolsonaro is the first step in the process.
On Monday (27), the Minister of the Supreme Federal Court (STF) Celso de Mello authorized the opening of an investigation to investigate the complaints made by the former Minister of Justice and Public Security Sergio Moro.
According to the ex-president, if there is a manifestation of the STF to Congress “this process will be authorized immediately”. “But, if that happens, the political framework must direct the action towards impeachment. It is unpredictable whether it will be on one side or the other; but that it is an announced outcome, it is,” he said.
