“Water for All” supplies 9.8 million inhabitants in Angola

Data from the Ministry of Energy and Water (MINEA) point out that among the solutions used, in the program for the supply of water in rural areas, the capture and distribution stands out, which also includes treatment and storage.

The project contemplates the construction of a borehole with a hand pump or an electric pump, feeding a fountain and in some cases, also a laundry or drinking fountain for livestock, laundries, changing rooms and home connections, to public facilities (schools, health centers, administrations).

Started in July 2007, in view of the situation that was deeply lacking in rural areas, becoming part of the strategy to fight poverty, with the large investments applied it was possible to build 4,735 supply solutions, 3,442 water points and 1,293 small water systems. Water.
