Scientists discover six new strains of coronavirus in bats

The discovery, published on April 9 in the scientific journal “Plos One”, resulted from an investigation in Myanmar, between May 2016 and August 2018, which involved the collection of more than 750 samples of saliva and bat feces. After testing them and comparing them with known coronaviruses, the scientists found that they were facing six strains never detected before.
