Promise kept: Cucurella gets Luis de la Fuente’s face tattooed

Marc Cucurella had promised to get a tattoo of national team coach Luis de la Fuente’s face if Spain won the 2026 World Cup, and after the team’s extra-time victory over Argentina in the final, that promise has now become permanent.

On Tuesday, the now-Real Madrid defender took to Instagram to document the process, appearing alongside a tattoo artist and two teammates as he followed through on his word. “Promises get kept,” the Spanish full-back wrote in the caption.
