Twenty-two countries, including Portugal, the United States, and Australia, have demanded that Iran immediately cease its attacks against individuals abroad, according to a joint statement published today.
The coalition of 22 nations strongly condemned the targeted assaults carried out across Europe, North America, and Australia by Iranian state entities. These operations have actively targeted Iranian political dissidents, independent journalists, and various members of Jewish and Israeli communities residing within these international territories.
“The Islamic Republic of Iran must immediately cease these acts,” the nations declared in the official text, which was published jointly by the foreign ministries of France and the United Kingdom.
The group of countries, which also includes Germany, Belgium, and Canada, condemned assassination attempts and other malicious actions orchestrated by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, its intelligence services, the Quds Force, and Iran’s Ministry of Intelligence and Security.

The signatory nations furthermore denounced a recent campaign of violent attacks carried out in Europe against Jewish communities, Iranian journalists, and American interests.
These specific acts of aggression were claimed by the pro-Iranian Islamist group Harakat Ashab al-Yamin al-Islamiya (HAYI) and directly supported by its network of state proxies. The group has been linked to severe security incidents across the continent since the outbreak of the Middle East conflict.
HAYI claimed responsibility for arson incidents and a knife attack in London targeting two Jewish men this past April, alongside other hostile acts in various European locations.
Western intelligence agencies have increasingly flagged these coordinated efforts as a direct extension of Tehran’s regional state strategy to intimidate critics beyond its borders. The unified international diplomatic response emphasizes a growing global resolve to counter foreign state-sponsored terrorism and protect internal domestic security.
