Italian football manager Carlo Ancelotti extended his contract with the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) until 2030 today, one year after taking over as head coach.
The announcement comes just one month before the start of the 2026 World Cup, signaling strong confidence from the federation in Ancelotti’s long-term project.
Ancelotti, 66, took command of the “Seleção” in May 2025 after leaving Real Madrid, where he famously won 15 titles, including three Champions League trophies and two Spanish league titles.
The CBF confirmed in a statement that the new deal adds four years to his current term, ensuring his leadership through the 2030 World Cup cycle.

The Italian has managed 10 matches for the “Canarinha” so far, including six friendlies, and debuted with a goalless draw against Ecuador during the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
Under his guidance, Brazil finished in fifth position in the South American qualifying standings, securing important victories against both Paraguay and Chile to ensure their spot in the finals.
The Brazilian national team, which has never missed a World Cup finals tournament, is currently seeking a historic sixth world title to add to their previous triumphs.
