With several changes to the usual starting lineup and Cristiano Ronaldo absent, the Portuguese team could not break the deadlock but maintained their unbeaten record against Mexico, now totaling three draws and three wins in six matches.

The team, coached by Spaniard Roberto Martínez, will next face the United States in Atlanta in another friendly scheduled for Tuesday.
At the 2026 World Cup, taking place from June 11 to July 19 across the United States, Canada, and Mexico, Portugal is drawn in Group K alongside Uzbekistan, Colombia, and an opponent to be determined from the intercontinental playoff between the Democratic Republic of Congo and Jamaica.
