Special offer of free direct coach tickets from the restricted area of Hong Kong International Airport to Macao starts from 20 January 2026

The Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO) has launched a year-long special offer to attract international visitors arriving in Hong Kong: free one-way coach tickets from the restricted area of Hong Kong International Airport (SkyPier Terminal) directly to Macao via the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge (HZMB).

The scheme runs from 20 January to 31 December 2026 and targets travellers from beyond the Greater China region, supporting twin-destination and multi-destination tourism between Hong Kong and Macao.

This initiative, delivered in partnership with Hong Kong & Macao International Airport Transportation Service Company Limited (Macau HK Airport Direct), builds on similar cross-border free ticket offers in 2024 and 2025.

MGTO intends the promotion to energise international visitors’ intent to add Macao to their travel plans, extend the length of stay, and increase visitor spending, key objectives for diversifying source markets and strengthening the region’s tourism economy.

Eligible international visitors arriving at Hong Kong International Airport may obtain free direct coach tickets by completing the required formalities at the designated counter in the airport’s restricted area.

The tickets provide direct transfer from SkyPier to Macao; visitors can also make bookings through the service operator’s official website. Within the offer period, travellers may use the free coach service multiple times, subject to the operator’s terms and actual seat availability; free tickets are limited by quota.

MGTO and the operator will promote the offer across online and offline channels, including social media, airline and travel-agency partnerships, and coordinated overseas promotions that align with Macao’s calendar of events.

The marketing push is designed to showcase Macao’s latest “tourism +” attractions and facilities and to convert promotional interest into extended visits and higher local expenditure.
