Galaxy Entertainment Group (GEG) is strengthening Macau’s development as a “City of Sports” with the launch of the “Sport Games Family Experience – Games On!” at its revitalization project, the Lai Chi Vun Shipyards.
Held every weekend until Nov. 30, the event coincides with two major November highlights: the 15th National Games of the People’s Republic of China and the 72nd Macau Grand Prix.
As a sponsor of both the Macau Competition Zone of the National Games and the Grand Prix, GEG aims to engage residents and tourists by offering immersive, sports-driven experiences.
The initiative features interactive family zones themed around table tennis, badminton, basketball, and motorsports. Participants can enjoy table tennis matches, badminton serving challenges, basketball shooting contests, and remote-control car racing on a mini track inspired by the Grand Prix.
Large-scale photo installations and check-in spots inspired by Wavey the Peacock of Galaxy Kidz further enhance the experience, blending creativity with sports elements. Live music performances add to the festive atmosphere, and complementary shuttle buses connect the venue with Galaxy Macau.
The table tennis event of the 15th National Games is taking place from November 7 to 20 at the Galaxy Arena of GEG. The “Sport Games Family Experience – Games On!” featured a table tennis experience zone, allowing participants to experience the atmosphere of the competition.
The game booths are themed around competition events from the Macau Competition Zone of the 15th National Games and the Grand Prix, allowing both residents and tourists alike to immerse themselves in the excitement and vibrant atmosphere of Macau’s signature sports events.
Participants controlled formula remote-control cars on a mini track, experiencing the fun of racing.
The event features large-scale photo installations and check-in spots inspired by Wavey the Peacock of Galaxy Kidz, blending playful and sporting elements to create memorable photo opportunities for families.
The table tennis competitions of the 15th National Games are taking place at Galaxy Arena from Nov. 7 to 20.
To build momentum for the events, GEG introduced several promotional initiatives, including a large art installation made of 7,000 colored table tennis balls, which set a world record and is now showcased at “The Artistry of Table Tennis – Collectables & Art Exhibition.” Additional efforts include the Official Franchised Product Store for the Macau Competition Zone of the 15th National Games at Galaxy Macau and support for the “National Games Community Activities” campaign.
GEG, as the title sponsor and co-organizer with Macau Special Olympics, also hosted the “GEG Macau Special Olympics Inclusive Table Tennis Fun Day 2025,” highlighting sports inclusion while marking the 50-day countdown to the Paralympic Games.
GEG continues to align with the Macau SAR Government’s goals for integrating sports and tourism. This year marks its fifth consecutive year supporting the Grand Prix.
The “Sport Games Family Experience – Games On!” will be held every weekend until November 30 at GEG’s revitalization project, the Lai Chi Vun Shipyards area.
The company also organized the “ITTF Men’s and Women’s World Cup Macao 2025 presented by Galaxy Entertainment Group” for the second year and supported the “WTT Champions Macao 2025” for the sixth year, serving as organizer since 2023.
In December, Macau will host the “Galaxy Entertainment Macao International Marathon,” supported by GEG for 22 consecutive years and co-organized for three.
Following the success of “UFC Fight Night Macau presented by Galaxy Macau,” Galaxy Macau has entered a four-year partnership with the UFC to host three Fight Night events between 2026 and 2029.
Through its expanding sports portfolio, GEG continues contributing to Macau’s positioning as a World Center of Tourism and Leisure.
