The 15th National Games of China, jointly hosted for the first time by Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macau, will take place from November 9th to 21st. As the event draws near, athletes from across the country are arriving in Macau, along with dedicated food supplies transported from various regions. Final preparations for logistics and support are now underway.
According to the event’s organizing committee in Macau, a comprehensive food safety and anti-doping monitoring system has been established to ensure that all ingredients are secure and free from contamination risks. The system oversees the entire supply chain—from source to athlete dining tables—covering six major food categories: livestock, poultry, seafood, eggs, dairy products, and seasonings.
Macau will host five competition events during the Games: table tennis, 3×3 basketball, under-18 men’s basketball, women’s volleyball, and karate. Among them, table tennis and women’s volleyball are expected to attract the most attention from spectators.
Meanwhile, to accommodate the road cycling race, temporary traffic controls will be implemented at the Zhuhai Highway Port of the Hong Kong–Zhuhai–Macau Bridge. The freight vehicle passage will be closed from 12 p.m. on November 7th to 3 p.m. on November 8th. Authorities have advised drivers to plan their routes in advance and comply with the temporary arrangements.
