Ng, 77, was found guilty of money laundering offences in March 2023, having initially been sentenced to 15 years.
The Court of Second Instance later acquitted him of the crime of secret association, while some of the money laundering charges were ruled void due to the statute of limitations, reducing his sentence to two and a half years.
