Fiscal reserve edges up to MOP 640.6 billion

Macau’s fiscal reserve stood at MOP 640.6 billion (USD 79.2 billion) at the end of May, marking a modest month-on-month increase of 1.2 per cent — equivalent to a gain of just over MOP 8 billion.

According to figures published on Wednesday in the Official Gazette by the Macau Monetary Authority, the reserve generated MOP 16.7 billion in revenue during the first five months of the year.

The fiscal reserve has recorded positive returns throughout 2025, bringing it closer to its record high of MOP 663.5 billion, last reached in February 2021.
