Gov’t probes Galaxy Arena workers suspected of breaching employment rules

Macau authorities have vowed to impose legal penalties on a group of workers employed for a weekend concert at the Galaxy Arena if any irregularities are found.

According to a government statement released early Monday morning, a joint effort by the Labour Affairs Bureau and the Public Security Police Force was made on 7 June to identify 107 workers.

Sixty-eight of them, non-residents, require further identity verification to confirm their work status.
