MGM China EBITDA, casino revenue see slight Q1 decline on ‘main floor table games drop’

Gaming operator MGM China posted an adjusted EBITDA of HK$2.37 billion in the first quarter of this year, 5 per cent lower than in the same period of 2024, the company announced on Thursday.

However, when compared with the previous three-month period ended 31 December 2024, adjusted EBITDA showed an 11 per cent improvement.

The results were “primarily due to a decrease in casino revenue driven by a decline in main floor table games drop compared to the prior-year quarter,” the casino operator indicated in the same announcement.

According to the filing, the two properties operated by the concessionaire in the SAR – MGM Macau and MGM Cotai– generated HK$7.99 billion in revenue in the first quarter, HK$265 million less than a year earlier, but HK$74 million more than in the fourth quarter of 2024.
