The script was being followed with music, Tim Walz’s speech and Kamala Harris’s appearance on stage, but as soon as the Democratic candidate began to speak, she was drowned out by chants and protests: “Israel bombs, Kamala pays, how many children they killed today? How much is genocide worth?”
Speaking to TSF, young people who are against the war in Gaza and the United States’ support for Israel state that they “do not like the genocide” in Palestine and want “the genocide to end”. Asked if they believe the current American vice president heard the appeals, they respond: “We hope so.”
