ECB keeps interest rates unchanged again

The European Central Bank (ECB) announced this Thursday that it left interest rates unchanged, which has happened for the fourth consecutive time since October 2023.

“The Governing Council of the European Central Bank (ECB) decided today to keep the ECB’s three key interest rates unchanged,” the institution said after the meeting.

The deposit rate remains at 4%, the highest level recorded since the launch of the single currency in 1999, while the main refinancing interest rate remains at 4.5% and the rate applicable to the marginal lending facility remains at 4.75%.
