This significant event, known as the “Macau and Munich” festival, is poised to become the most extensive celebration of its kind in history. It extends a warm invitation to both visitors and residents to partake in the enjoyment of traditional German cuisine and beer, all nestled within the welcoming confines of beer tents.
Additionally, attendees can look forward to captivating live performances by the HÖGL FUN BAND, hailing from Munich. This festivity stands as a vibrant embodiment of MGM’s “Travel+” initiative, emphasizing the exploration of diverse cultures and experiences. Furthermore, it serves as a prominent showcase of Macau’s cultural charm as a “Creative City of Gastronomy,” emphasizing the convergence of gastronomic delights and cultural diversity.
The 2023 Macau MGM Beer Festival has received unwaveringly support from the Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO), the Consulate General of Germany in Hong Kong and Macau, and the German Macau Business Association. The event was officially kicked off with the traditional beer keg tapping ceremony by Kenneth Feng, President and Executive Director of MGM China Holdings Limited.
He stated, “Since MGM introduced the world’s acclaimed carnival Oktoberfest to Macau in 2009, Oktoberfest Macau at MGM has become an annual city brand IP event that perfectly embodies the synergy of cuisine, creativity, culture, festivals, and tourism. MGM is committed to making Macau an ideal destination for hosting Oktoberfest.”
Over the past 12 editions, the Macau MGM Beer Festival has welcomed over 170,000 guests. It brings the authentic Bavarian party atmosphere to Macau through traditional German cuisine, entertainment, and decorations that celebrate the essence of beer festivals. Guests can enjoy authentic German beer like Löwenbräu, traditional German food and beverages, participate in carnival games, and cheer alongside waitresses dressed in Dirndl outfits. Every detail faithfully recreates the Oktoberfest in Germany.
Moreover, the 2023 Macau MGM Beer Festival will be held on the rooftop terrace of MGM Cotai from October 12th to 23rd, every day from 6:00 PM to midnight, with a Family Day event on October 15th from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Tickets and box reservations are available from now until October.
