The Swedish Zlatan Ibrahimovic announced, this Sunday, the end of his football career at the age of 41, on the same day he was honored by AC Milan.
It was in front of a full stadium and that tonight he said “Godbye” – a play on words between goodbye (goodbye, in English) and god (god) – that the striker revealed that “the time has come to say goodbye to football”.
After AC Milan beat Verona by 3-1, in the game of the last round, without Ibrahimovic and with a brace from the Portuguese Rafael Leão, the Swede took advantage of the moment to consummate his farewell.
