Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky said yesterday that the Russian army carried out “the same atrocities” in Kherson as in other regions of the country during its occupation, and said that “more than 400 Russian war crimes” have now been documented.
Zelensky said, in the usual daily television intervention, that the Russian army “left behind the same atrocities as in other regions it managed to enter” and that “investigators have already documented more than 400 Russian war crimes and bodies of civilians and soldiers”.
“We will find and bring to justice all the murderers. Without a doubt”, he assured.
Volodymyr Zelensky said that the Ukrainian authorities were restoring communications, the Internet and television, and were doing “everything possible to restore normal technical capabilities to supply electricity and water as quickly as possible,” he added.
“The Kherson region is still very dangerous. First, there are mines. Unfortunately, one of our sappers was killed and four others were injured while clearing the mines.”
Zelensky also mentioned that the fighting in the Donetsk region is as intense as in previous days. “The level of Russian attacks is not decreasing,” he stressed.
