At the press conference ahead of today’s match between Atlético de Madrid and Club Brugge, on matchday four of the Champions League group stage, Diego Simeone was asked about João Félix’s current form and said he may have blame for the striker’s performance not being as expected.
“He [João Félix] is important for the club and for the team, but, in this period, he still hasn’t found the most important thing for him, which is the goal, which causes him frustration. He’s working well, he’s trained himself well, and besides, whatever he can do wrong, I do worse; it means that I don’t give him what he needs to give him everything he has, maybe it’s the coach’s fault”, pointed out the Argentine, coach of the colchoneros.
Atlético de Madrid-Club Brugge starts at 17:45 today. From 20h00, in the same group, Bayer Leverkusen and FC Porto, in Germany.
