The Tesla boss’s recent comments about the island’s peaceful reunion with the country went down well with Chinese officials.
China yesterday expressed “satisfaction” with the support shown by Elon Musk for a “peaceful reunification” of the country with Taiwan, while Taipei criticized the comments of the executive chairman of electric vehicle maker Tesla.
Chinese Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Mao Ning told a press conference that she hopes to see “more and more people” being able to “understand and support” the island’s reunification with mainland China.
