OTAN promises to send “heavy artillery” to Ukraine

Jens Stoltenberg launched the summit that will bring together NATO defense ministers, starting this Wednesday. The secretary-general responded to criticism from Ukraine, which accused the alliance of having sent “about 10% of the weapons” requested by Kiev, but the secretary-general says that the organization has already offered Ukraine is unprecedented.

Stoltenberg again defended sending more “heavy artillery” and long-range equipment to help Ukraine, stressing that “in this increasingly dangerous world, we need to make NATO even stronger”.

Before presenting the objectives of the meeting, the secretary of state of the alliance recalled that, “in two weeks, NATO leaders will meet in Madrid”, considering the crucial moment for the security of the allies.

The event that will bring together NATO defense ministers, held in Brussels, will include a dinner with representatives from Ukraine, Finland, Sweden, Georgia and the European Union.
