World tourism with dramatic 70% drop between January and August

Experts anticipate a reversal of the downward trend in tourism “only in 2022”.

Arrivals of international tourists fell 70% worldwide in the first eight months of 2020 compared to the previous year, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, announced the World Tourism Organization (WTO).
