Macau: First day of the Golden Week visitor fell 88.5% on year

The Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO) announced that on the first day of the Golden Week holiday(October 1) this year, there were 15,503 visitors to Macau, an 88.5% a year-on-year decrease; amid 14,535 visitors from the Mainland China, down by 87.5% year-on-year.

Meanwhile, MGTO Director Maria Helena de Senna Fernandes has indicated that the hotel booking rate for five-star hotels for the Golden Week holiday period is between 40 and 43%, and at around 30% for three and four-star hotels, TDM Radio reported.
