This week, Macau is expected to fully open its borders to the rest of Guangdong province.
This is therefore a pivotal moment for the recovery of the gaming industry in Macau. A fact repeatedly cited is that in 2019 Guangdong residents represented 49 percent of the continent’s visitors to Macau and, among these, 72 percent visited the city due to free movement visas.
