Turnover fell to less than half

The turnover of retail trade in Macau fell 52.8 percent in annual terms in the first half, according to data now revealed by the Directorate of Statistics and Census Services (DSEC), which justify the break with the pandemic of coronavirus.

Between January and June, the turnover of retail outlets fell to a total of 18.08 billion patacas.

The downward trend was followed in the second quarter, a period in which turnover stood at 6.92 billion, an annual decrease of 61.3 percent.
