China has registered, in the last 24 hours, 22 cases of covid-19, all imported, the country’s Health Commission announced this Friday. The cases were diagnosed in travelers in the city of Shanghai (11), Tianjin (six) and in the provinces of Shandong (three), Jiangsu (one) and Sichuan (one).
Health officials said 47 patients had been discharged in the past 24 hours, so the total number of active infected people in mainland China is 491, including 20 in serious condition.
The Chinese Health Commission has not announced any new deaths caused by covid-19, with the death toll remaining at 4,634 out of 84,917 infected since the start of the pandemic.
