US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo has achieved yet another success against China by obtaining from Slovenia a commitment to guarantee the security of its 5G network, which excludes Chinese companies like Huawei.
“I was pleased to sign a joint statement with the [Slovenian] Foreign Minister that excludes unreliable suppliers from the 5G network,” said the United States chief of diplomacy during a visit to Slovenia.
“The wind is turning against the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its efforts to limit freedom,” added Pompeo.
At a press conference in Bled, northwestern Slovenia, Pompeo warned that China is more dangerous than the former Soviet Union.
“The CCP is already entangled in our economies, in our policies, in our societies in ways that the Soviet Union has never been,” he added.
