The United States’ official departure from the World Health Organization (WHO) is a measure that undermines the global struggle against COVID-19, a spokesman for the Chinese Foreign Ministry said on Wednesday.
The spokesman, Zhao Lijian, made the remarks at a press conference when asked to comment on a report that said the United States formally submitted its WHO withdrawal notification to UN Secretary-General António Guterres on Tuesday.
