The last few months have been marked by the idea that Portugal is a racist country and that there is a problem of structural racism in society.

This idea has to be countered by the simple fact that it does not correspond, at all, to the truth and culture of the Portuguese people.

I refuse to accept that the civil and political extreme left accuses us, the Portuguese, of being racist as a whole. There is no racist culture in Portugal, quite the contrary.
