With part of the economy dependent on tourism, Cascais starts to measure before the summer season.
Famous for its beaches and the many wealthy residents, the city of Cascais (about 35 km from Lisbon) will make serological tests for the new coronavirus available for free to its more than 200 thousand inhabitants.
One of the richest municipalities in Portugal, Cascais is the first city in the country – and one of the pioneers in the world – to offer this type of exam free of charge to the population.
