Hong Kong refuses to give in to USA threats
The President of the United States has announced that he will abolish the commercial advantages granted to Hong Kong after his transfer from British to Chinese rule in 1997.
The Hong Kong government assured on Saturday that it would not give in to “threats” by US President Donald Trump regarding the end of trade advantages given to the former British colony over China, and is working on a “contingency plan”.
In stake, the fact that the US president has announced that he will abolish the commercial advantages granted to Hong Kong after its transfer from British to Chinese rule in 1997. Speaking to the regional press, Hong Kong’s Minister of Local Security, John Lee, stated that “the USA will not win from its threats”.
