China this Friday called for “closer” cooperation with the United States in the fight against the covid-19 pandemic after US President Donald Trump threatened to “end all relations” with Beijing.
“Maintaining stable relations between China and the United States is in the fundamental interest of both peoples and of peace and stability in the world,” said Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Zhao Lijian.
Zhao called for greater cooperation between his country and the United States in the fight against the new coronavirus.
