Italy on Thursday had a total of 29,958 deaths associated with the new coronavirus, with 274 new deaths in the last 24 hours, less than the 369 fatalities recorded on Wednesday, the Italian Civil Protection said.
After having seen a significant increase in the daily number of deaths on Wednesday, the death record presented today by the Italian authorities is again at the levels recorded in previous days, which pointed to a downward trend.
