Two volunteers were injected, the first of more than 800 people recruited for the scientific study of the potential vaccine, the BBC reported. Half of these people will receive the covid-19 vaccine while the other half will be tested with a control vaccine that protects against meningitis, but not against the coronavirus. Volunteers will not know what vaccine they receive, although doctors are aware.
