United States President Donald Trump confirmed today that a deal to end the conflict in the Middle East has been “finalized” with Iran, while simultaneously announcing the reopening of the strategic Strait of Hormuz. Alongside this development, Trump declared the “immediate” lifting of the ongoing American naval blockade in the region.
“The agreement with the Islamic Republic of Iran is now finalized,” the US President wrote on his social media platform, Truth Social. The post was published just minutes after the official announcement made by the Pakistani mediator on Monday morning, Pakistan time.

“I fully authorize the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz with zero transit fees and, simultaneously, the immediate lifting of the US naval blockade. Ships of the world, start your engines. Let the oil flow!” Trump wrote.
The finalized agreement follows days of intense, high-stakes diplomacy and marks a major turning point in defusing geopolitical and economic tensions that had severely disrupted global shipping lanes and energy markets.
