The former Secretary for Economy and Finance will now serve on the board of the Macau International Airport concessionaire on a temporary assignment basis, alongside the former president of the Sports Bureau, Pun Weng Kun, according to Chief Executive Order No. 130/2026.
The appointment comes about six weeks after Tai Kin Ip left the government for personal reasons. He was relieved of his duties as Secretary for Economy and Finance in April, after submitting his resignation to the Chief Executive. Until taking on the government portfolio in December 2024, Tai Kin Ip had led the Economic and Technological Development Bureau (DSEDT), an agency he headed between 2016 and 2024.
In addition to Tai Kin Ip and Pun Weng Kun, the order published in the Official Gazette formalizes a significant overhaul of the CAM’s leadership structure.
Chui Sai Cheong was appointed chairman of the Board of Directors, while Zhang Yun assumes the dual roles of director and chairman of the Executive Committee. Chan Weng Hong joins the Board of Directors and the Executive Committee, while Wu Keng Kuong was appointed director of the company.

The decree stipulates that the term of office for the new members will be three years, effective as of the date of publication (May 21).
In the case of Tai Kin Ip and Pun Weng Kun, contributions for health insurance and for the retirement and survivors’ pension schemes will continue to be calculated based on their original salary, with the employer’s share of the contributions to be borne by CAM itself.
The remuneration of the directors will be borne by the Macau International Airport Company and set by its general meeting, the order further states.
