In rail and urban transit, service disruptions will begin as early as tonight. The Lisbon Metro is expected to suspend all service starting at 11:00 p.m. this Tuesday, while CP – Comboios de Portugal anticipates significant service reductions on urban, regional, and long-distance routes, with impacts that may last until Thursday.
Carris also plans to keep only a few routes in operation, running on reduced schedules across three daily periods. In Porto, the Porto Metro is expected to maintain partial service on the main Senhora da Hora–Estádio do Dragão line and on part of the Yellow Line, albeit with reduced frequencies.

Authorities warn that, despite the establishment of minimum services, significant disruptions to transportation and the operation of essential services are expected, particularly on the day of the strike.
The general strike is expected to reach its peak this Wednesday, with widespread effects across various sectors, including hospitals, schools, and government agencies, in protest against the labor reform package currently under discussion.
