Angola’s national airline TAAG Angola Airlines has announced temporary disruptions affecting some domestic and regional flights due to ongoing aircraft maintenance and technical recovery processes.

In a statement, the airline acknowledged “occasional constraints” in its flight schedule, attributing the situation to operational issues linked to maintenance work on parts of its fleet. The company apologized for the inconvenience and recognized the impact on passengers’ travel plans.

TAAG assured that affected customers are being supported through its call center and regular communication channels, while technical and operational teams remain “fully mobilized” to restore aircraft to service as quickly as possible. The airline emphasized that all work is being carried out in strict compliance with aviation safety standards and technical requirements.

According to the company, the gradual return of aircraft to operation is expected to improve service reliability, with a more stable schedule anticipated by the weekend.

The disruptions come amid ongoing complaints from passengers about delays and cancellations in recent months.

In a related development, Angola’s government recently approved a financial support measure to strengthen the airline. The Ministry of Finance authorized the issuance of Treasury Bonds worth 170 billion kwanzas (around €161 million) as part of a broader plan to improve TAAG’s financial sustainability and transformation through 2026.
