Iran’s Revolutionary Guard has confirmed the death of Basij militia leader General Gholamreza Soleimani, which had been announced earlier today by the Israeli military.
Iran’s ideological force stated on its official website Sepah News that the senior official “was martyred in a terrorist attack perpetrated by the American-Zionist enemy.”

Earlier, Israel had claimed to have eliminated the commander of the paramilitary organisation’s volunteer group in a strike on Tehran, as well as Supreme National Security Council secretary Ali Larijani, whose death has not yet been confirmed.
