The main cast of the series “returns for a final adventure packed with action, justice and revenge,” with José Condessa, Helena Caldeira, Rodrigo Tomás and André Leitão.

Netflix revealed today that the third and final season of “Rabo de Peixe” will arrive on the streaming platform on April 10. Produced by Ukbar Filmes and RB Filmes and directed by Augusto Fraga and Patrícia Sequeira, the season “promises a grand finale.”

“In this third season, after three years in prison, Eduardo (José Condessa) returns to Rabo de Peixe, a community shaken by economic and political interests that threaten to displace families, destroy fishing and change the island forever,” reads the synopsis.

“United by an unbreakable friendship, the four decide to create ‘Night Justice,’ a clandestine vigilante movement rooted in the community, operating in the shadows to return power to those who have been silenced for too long. But as the revolt grows, the line between resistance and violence becomes increasingly fragile: when justice is served at night, someone pays the price in the light of day.”

The main cast is joined again by Maria João Bastos, Salvador Martinha, Afonso Pimentel, Kelly Bailey and Victória Guerra, with newcomers Joaquim de Almeida, Ângelo Rodrigues and Inês Castel-Branco.

“Rabo de Peixe” began in May 2023 and is based on a real event from 2001, when a sailing vessel sank off São Miguel island with half a tonne of cocaine on board, with much of the drug washing ashore near Rabo de Peixe. The show reached the global top of Netflix’s non-English language series chart. In October 2024, Netflix announced two further seasons filmed simultaneously, with the second premiering on October 17, 2025.

The series has also boosted tourism in the Ribeira Grande municipality on São Miguel, which launched an interactive location guide that draws hundreds of tourists daily to the filming sites.
