US Ambassador to Israel reportedly told non-essential staff to “leave the country quickly”

According to "The New York Times," the U.S. ambassador to Israel sent an email to staff at the diplomatic mission, in which he reportedly said that if they want to leave the country, they should do so "today."

US Ambassador to Israel, Mike Huckabee, reportedly sent an email early this morning, on Friday, February 27, informing that if non-essential staff members of the diplomatic mission and their families wish to leave the country, they should do so “today.”

According to The New York Times, the diplomat reportedly stated that the departure of non-essential American personnel from Israel would “probably result in high demand for flights.” “Focus on securing a seat to anywhere from which you can continue your journey to Washington, but the top priority will be to leave the country quickly,” reads an email from the US ambassador to Israel, as reported by the American newspaper.
