In terms of specific projects, the “Macau International Science and Technology Industry Centre,” which is one of the pioneering projects, is scheduled to commence operations in the second quarter of this year. The authorities have already assembled a professional team to conduct research trips to the Yangtze River Delta and the Greater Bay Area, and they have also started attracting investments. It is expected that a batch of high-tech enterprises will be introduced to settle here within this year, adding momentum to the local science and technology ecosystem.
At the same time, the government is accelerating the construction of the “Macau Science and Technology Research and Development Industrial Park,” and has incorporated public opinions into the design plan, aiming to create an integrated innovation system that combines research, incubation, transformation, and services, making it more in line with the actual social needs and principles of sustainable development.
The government is also studying related legal frameworks and support measures in parallel. It hopes to provide a good growth platform for scientific research talent and enterprises through policy, space, funding, and services, thereby driving industrial development and creating more high-quality job opportunities for residents.
In terms of employment support, the inter-departmental task force will optimize the environment through three main directions. The first is to actively seek out more high-quality clerical positions from large institutions such as banks, higher education, and public utilities.
Secondly, we will strengthen precise matching. In addition to regular matching, four large-scale job fairs will be held in the first half of the year, and specialized programs will be launched in collaboration with integrated tourism and leisure enterprises.
Finally, there is an improvement in the quality of training, achieved through the integration of training resources and expansion of course coverage, offering “customized training” based on corporate needs. The authorities will continue to monitor market changes, flexibly adjust policies, and fully support local residents’ employment.
