According to the latest data from the airport’s operator, Macau International Airport Co. Ltd. (CAM), the third-quarter total represents about 75 per cent of the pre-pandemic volume recorded in the same period of 2019, underscoring a slower recovery than the city’s broader tourism rebound.
Passenger traffic in September rose 3.9 per cent year on year to 555,730, partially offsetting sharper declines of 6.9 per cent in August and 13.1 per cent in July, the data showed.
