Macau to see hotel occupancy rate exceeding 90 pct during Grand Prix

Macau tourism authorities expressed strong confidence on Monday that the hotel occupancy rate during the upcoming Macau Grand Prix event will surpass 90 per cent.

Maria Helena de Senna Fernandes, Director of the Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO), pointed out the recent positive trend in hotel bookings in the city, public service broadcaster TDM reported.

Ms. Fernandes emphasised that the MGTO has undertaken extensive promotions for this year’s Macau Grand Prix, which include forging collaborations with airlines to further enhance its reach.

She said that advertisements have been placed on Cathay Pacific flights traveling to and from Hong Kong, showcasing the iconic motor-racing event and the allure of Macau, with the goal of attracting travellers from Hong Kong to visit Macau.
