Drones shot down near Moscow

Two drones were shot down in a village in the Moscow region, near warehouses of one of the military units deployed in the area, said the governor of the Russian province, Andrei Vorobyov.

The town is about 59 kilometers west of the Russian capital and about 500 kilometers from the Ukrainian border.

According to Vorobyov, fragments of the unmanned aircraft were found, which did not cause damage or casualties.

“Special services are conducting an inspection, the territory is now cordoned off. I urge people to remain calm,” added Vorobyov.

The official Russian TASS news agency had indicated that three drones had been shot down on the outskirts of Moscow, citing police authorities.
