Court upholds Sarkozy’s three-year prison sentence for corruption

The Court of Appeal confirmed this Wednesday the sentence of former President Nicolas Sarkozy to three years in prison, two of which with a suspended sentence and one with an effective sentence, for the crimes of corruption and influence peddling.

The former head of state is still banned from holding public office for the next three years, advances the AFP agency.
