The President of the Republic of Angola, João Lourenço, has discussed on Monday with the United Arab Emirates, His Highness Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the strengthening of cooperation between the two countries.
The information was released on the page of the Presidency of the Republic, on the social network Facebook, stating that the two statesmen held dialogue over the phone.
The two states signed an agreement of reciprocal protection of investments, which is practically the starting point for the start of investments from that country.
The Governments of Angola and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) ratified the Convention to Avoid Double Taxation and Tax Evasion, which came into force for both countries in March 2020, in light of article 32 of the agreement.
The Convention is an essential tool at the disposal of the tax authorities of the two countries, which are thus able to cross-check information regarding values and tax accounting framework declared in one country and the other.
