Armenia bombed populated areas of Azerbaijan before the ceasefire. Armenia and Azerbaijan have agreed to initiate a ceasefire in the separatist region of Nagorno-Karabahk, the scene of fighting, announced Russian diplomacy, following negotiations in Moscow.

“The ceasefire will start from 12:00 (9:00 am in Lisbon) on October 10 for humanitarian purposes,” said Russian Foreign Minister Serguei Lavrov, reading a statement at the end of negotiations between the diplomatic heads of Armenia and Azerbaijan.
